The Challenge:
Red Velvet is known for a vibrant, energetic K-pop image, but many of their music videos actually contain dark, mysterious theories hidden beneath the surface. A standard pop album cover misses these deeper story elements. My challenge was to bridge the gap between their bright public image and the hidden, unsettling side of their music.
The Solution:
I redesigned the album cover with a distinct horror aesthetic to focus on the supernatural elements of their narrative. By using a deep crimson palette and eerie, unsettling imagery, the new visuals completely change the tone of the project. This shift transforms the record from a standard pop release into a haunting piece of visual storytelling.
